       H Couf Superba II
       Made in Germany
       S/N: 49953

From 1965 until 1988, these fine German horns (manufactured by J. Keilworth) were distributed at various times by W. T. Armstrong and Conn.
From 1965 to 1986, Herbert Couf, the president of the WT Armstrong company, had three Keilwerth models stenciled for him under the model name "H-Couf": the "Superba I", "Superba II" and "Royalist". These instruments were built in Germany and mainly corresponded to the Toneking Special (Superba I), Toneking (Superba II) and New King (Royalist) -- all from the Toneking/New King Series IV line.
The Couf sax was made in Germany at the Keilworth factory. It has a huge tone on the dark side, depending on your mouthpiece set up. These have a nice big sound, feel compact in the hands, and have decent key work.
